If you want to take a day off or go on holiday, you must ask your employer for permission. You will then usually be able to take time off. Your employer must give you permission unless this would cause major problems at work. In that case, your employer must let you know by letter or e-mail within two weeks. To request leave, send your employer an e-mail or complete a form. You must do this in time, and preferably several weeks in advance.
