If you are coming back to the Netherlands and you want to live here for more than four months, you will have to register with a municipality again. Registering again lets the government know you are back in the Netherlands.
Will you be staying in the Netherlands for less than four months or are you only coming here to work? You do not need to be registered again if you are already registered in the RNI. You can, however, report your new temporary address in the Netherlands using the MyRNI app.

If you had a BSN when you previously lived in the Netherlands, your still have that number. You will not be given a new BSN. If you have never had a BSN before, you will be given one after you register with the municipality or at an RNI desk.
Not necessarily. If you are coming back to the Netherlands and you want to live here for more than four months, you need to register again with the municipality in which you will live. Your details will then be re-activated in the Personal Records Database (BRP). If you are coming back for a shorter period or to work but not to live and your details were registered in the Non-Residents Records Database (RNI), you do not need to register again.
You will not get a new BSN. You keep the citizen service number you had before. If you are registered again, this number will be re-used automatically.
Take a valid passport or identity card with you when you go to register. The municipality might also ask for additional documents, such as proof of where you will live or a birth certificate. Ask the municipality about this before your appointment.
