Remuneration is everything you receive for the work you do. It is your wages in the form of cash.
Your remuneration is the money you get for your work. You usually receive this on a monthly, weekly or hourly basis. In the Netherlands, as an employee you are always entitled to the statutory minimum wage. This is the lowest amount an employer may pay you per hour. Wages must always be paid into your bank account, and must not be paid in cash. The minimum wage per hour worked is the minimum amount you must be paid according to the law. We call this the minimum hourly wage.
